School Wide Positive Behaviour

School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) at Yipirinya School is a two-way framework to teach, model, acknowledge, correct, assess and adjust the teaching and learning approaches to student wellbeing and behaviour.

This is also linked with trauma informed strategies and practices. These strategies are also aligned to the Yipirinya Values of Be Responsible, Be Responsible and Be A Learner.

Yipirinya School Wide Positive Behaviour Support is evidence based through ongoing data collection to inform decision-making for prevention, that is strength-based with a continuum on intensive individual intervention supports for effective procedures and practices for ongoing monitoring and evaluation.

Students, families, and the community engage in the process to design our student values matrix aligned with the Yipirinya Values.

The health and wellbeing of our students is about caring and respectful relationships. Consistent responses for challenging behaviours to build strong connections where individuals discuss and plan for Dream Making, Dream Building and use tools and strategies to prevent Dream Stealing.
