Marie Ramjohn

Marie Ramjohn (aka Marie Abbott) is from the Hermannsburg School of Art. She was taught to paint by her older brother, Clem.

Marie was one of the first aboriginal women to go into the town camps and teach, with Tangentyere Council, over 30 years ago. She has been instrumental in the founding of Yipirinya School.

Marie is currently working on illustrations for her own children's story and colouring book as well as doing paintings in her unique style for Yipirinya School's Language and Culture Centre.
