A unique series of early Readers with which Indigenous learners immediately identify.
This research-based program includes books, pre-reading material and teacher resources that use unique teaching theories which focus on Indigenous learners and their languages, interests and life experience.
The Honey Ant Readers (HAR) were developed in collaboration with Central Australian Indigenous elders and community members.
The supporting program incorporates activities to assist Indigenous learners to acquire Standard Australian English, with a focus on phonics and grammar.
