Swimming Pool

For several years, students have been attending swimming lessons at the Alice Springs Town Pool, however, in 2010 - thanks to the Australian Government - Yipirinya School was given it's own pool.

At first, some youngsters were quite nervous, but after a little tuition they were soon enjoying the water! Swimming lessons are scheduled every afternoon for classes from Transition through to Secondary. The pool is also open at lunchtimes for children who choose to play there. The pool is manned by certified life guards, who also work at the school as Tutor (Michelle Beebe) and Teacher's Assistant (Reece Dudgeon).
